Kim Jeffrey

DIRECTOR

Kim launched Koncept Konnect in 2013, and since then has provided tailor-made, customised online marketing and sales solutions to businesses around Australia and overseas; everything from luxury accommodation houses and strata title apartments through to resorts and 200+ room hotels.

Kim has a passion for providing high quality, customised services that will assist you to increase your online presence, grow your business, increase business returns and enhance customer experience.

She understands the real challenges being faced by businesses in the hospitality and tourism industries and excels at solving business problems and using her expertise to improve a business’s viability in this every-changing and uncertain economy.

Kim draws on her extensive experience across a variety of strata title properties and resorts, ski companies, hotels and tourism in general.

Her business philosophy is drawn from more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, and through having owned and operated several Gold Coast apartment accommodation businesses.

She loves regular contact with her clients and sees this as an integral part of the Koncept Konnect service.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney.

In her downtime you’ll find her skiing, at the beach, keeping fit and spending time with her family.

Shelley Beaver

DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Shelley is our digital communications manager and will execute campaigns that will make you property stand out from the crowd. She has led the Koncept Konnect digital communications team since 2013 and before this was with Kim Jeffrey Sales & Marketing for 4 years.

Taking a creative and hands-on approach, Shelley can manage your social media channels including Facebook and Instagram, coordinate EDM (electronic direct mail) campaigns, manage your targeted Facebook promotions and assist with online reputation management i.e. TripAdvisor.

She and her team can produce engaging website content including blogs, articles and destination marketing to improve your online presence, increase brand awareness and consumer relationships, and encourage direct bookings.

Shelley is also an integral part of ‘Web Work that Works’ where she and the team create dynamic tourism and hospitality industry websites designed to generate bookings, create leads, optimise Search Engine Optimisation and build your brand presence.

She has a solid grounding in the advertising industry and more than a decade of experience managing social media and communications within the tourism industry.

She holds a Diploma of Publishing in Professional Book Editing, Proofreading and Publishing.

When not working online, you’ll find Shelley travelling, swimming; enjoying the Gold Coast’s beautiful beaches and spending time with her young family.

Mary-Anne Smith

BUSINESS CONSULTANT

Mary-Anne brings a solid 16 years airline and wholesale tourism experience to Koncept Konnect. She has worked with one of Australia’s largest wholesalers as a product co-ordinator, specialising in domestic markets, and coordinating travel brochures and experience packages.

She excels at working with our clients to really understand what it is that their business needs, and what is required for them to be successful.

Mary-Anne is fantastic at building strong business relationships and has the knowledge and experience to confidently liaise with Hoteliers and Management Rights Owners.

You’ll love her professionalism and attention to detail, which she has honed to a fine art during her career.

During her time away from work she enjoys watching her teenage sons play sports, going to the beach and attending reformer Pilates classes.

Anne Berthelot

BUSINESS CONSULTANT

Originally from France, Anne has almost 30 years of Travel and Tourism experience, between Europe, the US and Australia. She has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry such as Disney, Club Med, and Booking.com where she was doing hotel account management for Queensland and the Pacific Islands.

This experience has taught her how to maximise the online visibility for maximum return on investment. Her extensive experience around the world, has given Anne a solid understanding of the domestic and international markets and her customer service approach is personable and friendly.

Anne is now based in New Zealand with her family and loves everything about what the country has to offer.

Mel Baker

BUSINESS CONSULTANT

Melissa (Mel) has worked in the tourism and travel industry for 12 years and loves it. Mel brings a wealth of experience to Koncept Konnect having worked for 9 years across finance, reservations, product support and contracting for Australian, NZ and South Pacific hotels and tours with the Flight Centre Travel Group. She also accrued extensive experience in working with hotels to secure rates for the Flight Centre wholesale division.

After Flight Centre Travel Group she spent two years working in hotel reservations and marketing for Banff & Lake Louise Tourism. Lucky her!

Our resident guru in search engine optimisation and Google ad strategies, Mel is passionate about tourism and is driven to help clients succeed in the digital world, and help secure those direct bookings.

Mel has a degree in International and Hotel Management from the University of Queensland.

She is an outdoors enthusiast who loves to hike, kayak and spend the day lounging by the pool or at the beach.

Nora Marani

Nora Marani joined our team in May 2024 with over 15 years of invaluable experience in the tourism and hospitality sector. Nora is a graduate of Auckland University of Technology, where she majored in Management and E-commerce. Complementing her academic achievements, Nora also holds a diploma degree in Travel and Tourism, further enhancing her expertise in the field.

Throughout her professional journey, Nora has excelled in various roles, demonstrating her proficiency in revenue management, sales strategies, and client relationship building. Her tenure as Contracting Manager for Oceana at hotelbeds.com provided her with invaluable insights into revenue optimization and global property distribution. Additionally, her contributions to revenue growth and client acquisition at Stamford Plaza Auckland highlight her dedication to driving success in every endeavour.

Beyond her professional achievements, Nora finds joy in exploring nature and new places with her family. Whether she’s walking on the beach or immersing herself in different cultures, Nora’s passion for travel enriches her perspective and fuels her commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Shirene Perry

BUSINESS CONSULTANT

Shirene has been heavily involved in the Australian Management Rights industry for more than 15 years.

She is extremely proficient at understanding our clients’ business needs having worked as the onsite manager of a large international student accommodation facility in Brisbane’s South Bank before moving to the Gold Coast where she managed a variety of holiday resorts ranging in size from 30 to 100 units.

Shirene understands what it is like to be a small business owner as she has also owned and managed her own management rights holiday building on the Gold Coast. As owner/operator, she oversaw the business and day-to-day operations including accounting, digital marketing and client liaison.

She knows what it takes to own and run a property in the tourism sector and brings this wealth of first-hand experience and knowledge to Koncept Konnect.

Shirene can work with you to grow and optimise your property management systems, provide strategic advice on third-party property management and navigate the world of channel managers, Levart and Siteminder; all the while focusing on achieving the growth and outcomes you want.

Shirene holds a full nationally accredited Real Estate License.

Outside of work, Shirene works on her ‘bucket list’, having already ticked off a few items. Originally from New Zealand, she’s cruised on the Panama Canal and the Yangtze, visited the Terracotta Warriors and the Taj Mahal and walked the Great Wall of China!
